Free Preview: Playmate Test Shots - Lynne Austin
In 1986, Lynne Austin was working as a waitress at a Clearwater, Florida Hooters and dreaming of making it big in Hollywood. She had modeled in the past, but one unlikely photo shoot gave her a big break. Lynne's promotional shoot for Hooters ended up being plastered on a billboard. Unbeknownst to Lynne, her boss sent Playboy the photos and the magazine soon contacted her about a Playmate test. "I owe it all to my boss and friend, Ed Droste," Lynne wrote on her Playmate data sheet. She also noted that although she had traveled to France, Spain and Aruba for modeling, the Florida native had never seen snow. She grew up admiring Marilyn Monroe, considered herself a small-town girl and visited with her grandparents and friends in her spare time. Lynne's goal for herself after becoming a Playmate was to pursue a career as an entertainer. "Take dance classes, voice lessons, acting workshops and maybe even have my nose narrowed!" she wrote.
